TO BECOME A MEMBER

You can join the Society as a member. You will receive the monthly All India Magazine, in a language of your choice as per details in the downloadable membership form or Agnishikha & Purodha in Hindi. The different categories and rates of membership are as follows:

Kindly note that this form shall be considered complete only and alongwith the demand draft and hence is to be downloaded, printed and posted alongwith the membership fee.

VOLUNTARY WORKERS/ HELPERS

You can participate directly and actively in some of the various projects and activities of the Society - Publications, preparation of Audio-visual materials, Education, Health, projects for Children, presentation of the deeper foundations of Indian Culture, Scientific Research, Management by consciousness, programmes for Youth and Women, Auroservice, etc. According to your inclination and the time you can devote, the details can be worked out.

You can make known the ideals and activities of the Society in your area to those who may be interested, without any effort at propaganda or conversion. We are looking not for numbers but for the sincerity, dedication, and involvement of a few who are drawn to this vision.

If there are other interested persons around you, you can start a centre of Sri Aurobindo Society.

You can come and spend some time at Pondicherry, stay in the Ashram atmosphere and practise the sadhana of the Integral yoga. More details about Pondicherry , the guest houses available and special days in the Ashram are given separately.

Most important, you can try to bring about a change in your attitudes, values and working. To become a member of the Society is a privilege but also a responsibility. It means, first of all, an effort to aspire for the new-consciousness and to become a better individual.

CONTRIBUTIONS

You can contribute in funds and kind. The Society enjoys various tax exemptions under the Indian Tax Laws :

a) Under Section 80(g) as a charitable organisation.

b) Under Section 35(i) (iii) of the Indian-Income Tax Act for research in education, health, Indian culture and Social Sciences.

Donations under section 35 of the Income Tax Act are 125% tax exempt.
