General Information
Water Lilies grow in
various colour (pink, lavender, white, yellow and blue) in ponds
and in gardens. Often they are confused with the lotus in areas
where people haven't seen the real lotus.
The water lily is an
aquatic plant with rhizones and floating round leaves. The large,
showy and usually fragrant flowers consist of numerous narrow petals
many prominent stamens and four petal like sepals. Each flower is
borne on a long hollow stem. One can observe the opening of the
flower at a particular hour every day and marvel at the divine creation.
