General Information

The genus includes 60-70 species mostly from tropical America. It is a handsome light climber. Flowers are round, in beautiful violet-blue, 5 to 12 of them together in loose clusters.

This slender blue flowering creeper is very suitable for screening in sun or semi-shade. A large number of flowers are produced almost throughout the year. The plant is commonly propagated by cuttings which grow easily. The plant needs thorough pruning of dry shoots in the rainy season.
