SACAC
- its need and purpose
Sri
Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC), a Unit of Sri
Aurobindo Institute of Research in Social Sciences, strives for a
new world order based on spirituality, in which each legitimate aspect
of life is to be raised to its highest possibility under the direct
touch and guidance of a higher consciousness. It is actively involved
in various Research and Training activities in the field of social
sciences, using arts and communications as its tools. The effort is
to find new and effective ways of making arts and communication, the
instruments for social change, based on Indian spiritual tradition,
and to help and train the youth to realise this goal.

THE
APPROACH
SACAC
is a pioneer effort offering value based quality education in the
field of Arts & Communication. We take pride in providing you
with a learning environment that is both supportive and challenging.
SACAC is not a pedagogic institute, not in principle. We prefer to
be known as a platform that provides the students with physical and
mental space to get creative. We exist to meet the needs of students
in two ways: by equipping them with the skills required to meet the
challenges of the future and making them aware of the knowledge, values
and understanding gained from the past. Going beyond the usual technical
training that teaches the students to operate the camera and editing
suites, we emphasize on making them understand the aesthetics of audiovisual
communication while bracing them up for the hard-hitting realities
of the industry.
The SACAC campus is a creative playground, and the students are expected
to make the maximum use of it to experiment with their creative side.
To ignite the passion of creativity, our aesthetically designed architecture
provides the students with tranquil space, helping them unleash their
imagination. The green area in the campus, the studio spaces and the
open-air amphitheatre provide ample space for many training exercises
while providing the students with a serene atmosphere that furthers
creativity.
