Flower remedies from SAIIIHR We now have 103 remedies based on the significance given by the Mother to flowers. As she said once, "Another time, I was brought one of those big flowers (which are not really flowers) somewhat resembling corn, strongly scented stalks. I smelled it and said 'Ascetic Purity!' Just like that, from the odor alone. I was later told it was Shiva's flower when he was doing his tapasya.
What about this flower, this long corn-like stalk? Yes, this flower is Shiva, doing his tapasya. And interestingly enough, its smell is fantastically attractive to snakes; it makes them come from far away to nest in the shrubs. And as you know, the serpent is the power of evolution, it is Shiva's own creature; he always puts them on his head and around his neck because they symbolize the power of evolution and transformation. And snakes like this flower; it often grows near rivers, and wherever there is a cluster of the plants you are sure to discover snake nests. I find this very interesting, for WE didn't decide it should be like this: these are conscious vibrations in Nature. The fragrance, the color, the shape, are simply the spontaneous expressions of a true movement". So we have been working on some of these flowers for the last 12 years and share with you one of them – the Eucalyptus called the Gum tree by the Australians, and vibrating to 'Abolition of the ego' according to the Mother.
The remedy has been one of the very powerful remedies against depression "Bursting old habits, narrow ways and opening to something new". Two people come to my mind when I think of this remedy. A young girl and an old man. The young girl came from a village background and had very strict ideas about right and wrong. She was extremely particular about cleanliness, order and discipline. She was prone to violent anger which ended in deep depression wherein she would cut herself off from all people and get severe headaches. She was very simple minded and wanted to be cured. One of these fits of anger-depression happened in my office. I gave her this remedy. It was a great surprise to see a second later, a big smile. Our dear friend was back to balance! The old man had become fixed in his ways. He had been admitted to the hospital with arthritis, cardiac, and renal failure. But even in this weak state, he curtly told the people to replace their chair when they left. He said that the younger generation had no respect for material things. Even a small bolt should be kept and used and not thrown away. These ways had become quite tiresome for his colleagues. So he had gone on withdrawing from life – friendless and alone. Scarcely a smile, his large frame and deep set eyes seemed to portray a deep despair. He was sinking. I left the remedy with him. When I met him again a few days later I saw a different person. He who had been bedridden was now walking and smiling. A month later they discharged him... A striking remedy. But then it was not that these people did not revert back to their old ways. After the remedy was stopped the habits came back but without the previous intensity. Another person who experienced it deeply said, "The whole body becomes space substance vibrating in numberless points. These points shine like tiny suns. Soft energy waves are moving the substance with all these shining points. It is like an ocean full of stars. No tensions left." Is that how it feels when the ego is no more? |
