Dr.K.H.Krishnamurthy, a botanist by qualification and Ayurvedic and Sanskrit scholar by tradition and interest had undertaken the study of the ancient manuscripts of Ayurveda for understanding and delineating its basic percepts in the light of the future. The work is still underway. One paper from that work can be seen in NAMAH, as 'History of Ayurveda' Vol.1, Issue 1, August 1993, pp.22.

COMPILATION OF BHELA SAMHITA

The compilation and translation of an ancient Ayurvedic treatise - Bhela Samhita, was done by Dr. K.H.Krishnamurthy with the help of SAIIIHR for Chaukhambha Orientala, Varanasi. It is now available in print from Chaukhambha Orientala, Varanasi.
